• Email address — collected when you sign up for updates or access gated ritual content. Used to send your welcome email and optional ritual reminders.
• Shipping address — collected only if you purchase the Ritual + Companion Box subscription. Used solely to fulfill physical shipments.
• Journal entries — text you write during ritual sessions. Stored locally in your browser and, where applicable, associated with your account to support streak tracking and personalization.

Information collected automatically:

• Visitor ID — a randomly generated anonymous identifier stored in your browser's local storage. Used to track your ritual progress, streaks, and session continuity across visits.
• Usage data — pages visited, buttons clicked, ritual completion events, and session duration. Collected to improve the app experience and measure feature effectiveness.
• Device and browser information — browser type, operating system, screen size, and referral source. Collected automatically to ensure compatibility.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Chrysalis Service
• To send transactional emails (welcome email, ritual reminders if opted in)
• To fulfill physical subscription shipments
• To track your ritual streak and personalize your experience
• To analyze usage patterns and improve the Service
• To communicate about subscription status and billing

3. Payment Data

Chrysalis uses Stripe to process all payments. We do not collect or store your credit card number, CVV, or other payment card details. All payment information is entered directly into Stripe's secure checkout interface and governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

4. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only as follows:

• Stripe — for payment processing
• Email service providers — to deliver transactional emails on our behalf
• Analytics services — aggregated, non-personally-identifiable usage data to understand how the Service is used
• Legal obligations — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Chrysalis or its users

5. Data Retention

We retain your email address and usage data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Journal entries and streak data are retained to support your ongoing practice. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage (not cookies) to store your visitor ID, ritual progress, journal drafts, and streak data. This data lives in your browser and is not transmitted to third parties. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.

7. Children's Privacy

The Chrysalis Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of marketing communications
